self love is a practice…

A continual practice as you are always changing, always evolving. Learning to love, accept and appreciate yourself as you advance through the many stages of your life requires a very tender patience that only YOU can provide. Think about how much you love your very best friend, your lover or sister/brother and then see yourself in THAT kind of love light.

how to love your body…

Have you ever truly embraced your body without the idea that she needs to be different somehow? You and your body are in this together, for a lifetime! Be-friending and encouraging your body is a totally different energy than trying to change or improve her. Prioritizing your relationship with your body will require the sweetest surrender, from you. Asking her, listening to her, honoring the wisdom she’s always communicating to you…

“I thought I did love myself. I liked the way I looked and other people seemed to like me. It wasn't until I started to love myself in this way, did I realize how much deeper and more intimate the relationship could be. When I realized how critical I had ALWAYS been of of my body, my heart softened and I saw her in a totally new light. As a total warrioress who had survived all my judgement, one whom I was honored to be with.” - Andrea

evoke your positive body image…

I know its a hard shift my love, you have never really truly looked at your body through the eyes of acceptance, much less looked her over without some critical thought. Your body is so beautiful and unique, can you see that every scar, every freckle, and every wrinkle has an epic story to tell? As women we’ve all been conditioned to judge ourselves and our bodies. Spending more time in reverence and awe of her, marveling in the magnificence of what she is capable of— is a much more worthy use of our short time on this earth. This is a rare opportunity to nurture a fulfilling relationship of adoration for your body, to even CELEBRATE your body and this ever evolving journey that you are on together!

“It would only take a few moments to take in the chocolatey, aromatic goodness and breathe. Feel the love I have for myself as I am forced in a way to acknowledge each part of me, the body that is connected to the spirit, that is connected to the mind that gives birth to this life.” - Kara

scrubbing with intention…

Like all things in life the more you practice something, the better you get at it. To truly love yourself like you would your own precious child, you must first slough away all those secret and subtle layers of non-love. Be truthful with yourself about how you really treat your body. Notice how your mind immediately comes up with excuses about how right now isn’t the best time, or that promise of I’ll for sure do this later. When will be a good time to choose YOU above everything else? Later never comes my love. I know it can be uncomfortable, and we are here for you. Notice your resistance to loving yourself in this way, and love that about yourself!

“I've learned that our bodies and cells hold trapped emotions. I think of the scrub as an invigorating energetic cleanse that provides an opportunity for me to be with myself and to ask, what am I feeling right now? This practice supports the release and healing of any negative emotions, while simultaneously creating a blissful moment of nurturance for my body, how crazy soft my skin is after is just an incredible bonus.” - Andrea

what self love FEELS like…

When you set the intention to love on yourself and actually perform the act of this ancient art, magic happens. The chocolate aroma tantalizes the bliss factor in your brain. The playful feel of the granules tickling your palms as the scrub drips between your fingers. Your body feels physically stimulated and yet somehow curiously held by the gentleness of the scrub, as the sugar melts into your skin. You lovingly massage every inch of your beautiful body for a much longer time than would ever usually seem permissible, and even lick the scrub off your lips-- fully enjoying the sweet and salty notes on your tongue.

You realize how in this quietude with just yourself, how you can hear your TRUE self communicating to you from your heart. You relax even deeper, listening to the comforting and soothing love coming from within you, for you. Knowing and appreciating what a special moment this is, that you created. Your skin is crazy nourished, revitalized and the water bead-lets are literally dripping down your glowing bod. You feel a new level of content sumptuousness, totally radiant, whole and full in every aspect possible from this act of gratitude you performed, for YOU.

“It literally took me no longer to take a shower than it had before, but integrating the chocolate body scrub into my everyday routine literally felt like there was always one time each day I acknowledged myself— mind, body and spirit. I would send feelings of love to each part of my being, and in those busy times, it felt like a miracle, just to be. It was then that I understood the power of taking time for yourself and that however short the time may be or however small your action may seem, how big that moment of self care actually is.” - Kara

After the experience of releasing what no longer served me and shedding, literally old skin, I felt alive and refreshed. I felt new again. Like with yoga but on this deeper level where if I didn’t have time to do anything else, there was always time to use the chocolate scrub in the shower…
